All the characters from LEGO Batman: The Dark Knight's Legacy

The LEGO Batman characters received a fresh approach in LEGO Batman: The Dark Knight's Legacy. Instead of offering a huge number of heroes and villains, TT Games opted to work with a smaller, much more detailed cast. The result is evident both in the exploration of Gotham and in combat missions, as each character has specific roles, unique abilities, and exclusive equipment.

With a release date set for May 22, 2026 for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, the title features seven playable protagonists at launch. See who they are below!

All the Lego Batman characters

The LEGO Batman characters have very distinct styles from each other. Although they all participate in the main campaign, each one has their own tools, specific movements, and different advantages while exploring Gotham.

Batman

Batman functions as the main character of the adventure. His Batarang is used to hit enemies and activate devices scattered throughout the environments. The Batclaw allows him to pull structures, move heavy objects, and open hidden paths. In addition, the hero also has special abilities, including detective vision and explosives capable of destroying damaged walls.

Jim Gordon

Jim Gordon is quite a surprise among the playable cast. His Foam Sprayer launches foam to trap opponents and block gears. The character also uses the Rebound Launcher, a weapon whose shots ricochet off multiple targets.

Catwoman

Among the LEGO Batman characters, Catwoman stands out as one of the most incredible figures during stealth missions. Her whip aids in both combat and interaction with specific points in the environments. She can even summon a small LEGO cat using Call Kitty. The animal can traverse narrow spaces inaccessible to other characters. The character can also climb walls and open locked safes.

Robin

Robin has mobility and support during exploration. His Birdarang can hit multiple enemies at once, facilitating larger confrontations. The Cable Launcher allows him to install ropes between platforms, opening new paths and helping him traverse dangerous areas.

Batgirl

Batgirl is highly skilled with technology. Her Hackarang infiltrates electronic systems and activates remote devices scattered throughout the city. She also uses a special drone, useful for accessing blocked areas and reaching high points inaccessible to other heroes.

Night Wing

Nightwing has a similar style to Robin, but with additional electrical abilities. His equipment can power electronic panels and activate offline systems. This difference makes him an essential piece in puzzles related to energy and electrical circuits.

Talia al Ghul

Talia al Ghul relies on agility and stealth. Her Ninja Dash allows for quick short-range movements, greatly aiding in silent approaches. She also utilizes Blowdarts, small projectiles capable of discreetly taking down enemies without drawing attention.

When does each character become available in the game?

The LEGO Batman characters are unlocked gradually throughout the main campaign. Each chapter unlocks a new member of the group, allowing the player to discover new abilities as they progress through the story.

Batman appears from the prologue and is present throughout almost the entire adventure. Jim Gordon then enters the scene in the very first chapter. After him, Catwoman appears in the second episode of the campaign.

Robin joins the team in chapter three, while Batgirl and Nightwing become available in chapter four. Talia al Ghul appears closer to the end, only being unlocked in the fifth chapter of the main story.

This gradual distribution helps the game introduce each skill more calmly. This allows the player to better understand the usefulness of each character before the next one arrives.

DLC will add Joker and Harley Quinn

The LEGO Batman characters will continue to grow after the game's official release. TT Games has confirmed the arrival of Joker and Harley Quinn through the paid expansion called Mayhem Collection.

The content is scheduled for September 2026 and features a brand new mission set in Arkham Asylum. During the extra campaign, the duo attempts to escape the facility while causing chaos in Gotham. In addition to the new playable characters, the pack also adds Mayhem Mode, bringing extra challenges and new cosmetic items. Those who purchased the Deluxe Edition will automatically receive all the content as soon as the DLC is released.
