After months of anticipation and speculation on social media, we finally have a date: April 24, 2025. And wow, the package is packed, bringing a new wave of characters that will shake up the game's meta and capture the hearts of fans of the saga.

Goku and Vegeta gain surprising new forms

The highlight is definitely the "mini" versions of Goku and Vegeta, directly inspired by Dragon Ball Daima , the new series that's already generating a lot of buzz. But don't be fooled into thinking they're just "cute" versions. These new forms feature powers, revamped visuals, and transformations that will leave many people speechless.

Goku (Mini) had already been released as a pre-order bonus, but now comes with the option of Super Saiyan using an alternate skin. Vegeta (Mini) arrives in full force, including transformations up to Super Saiyan 3 level. Thus, in Dragon Ball Sparking Zero, these characters are true heavyweights in miniature size.

Eight new characters enter the scene

In addition to the two protagonists in miniature form, the roster of playable fighters in this DLC also features new faces and others already familiar from the Daima universe. They are:

  1. Goku (Mini) Super Saiyan
  2. Vegeta (Mini)
  3. Vegeta (Mini) Super Saiyan
  4. Vegeta (Mini) Super Saiyan 2
  5. Vegeta (Mini) Super Saiyan 3
  6. Glorio
  7. Panzy
  8. Majin Kuu

Each with their own style, unique movements, and powers that will undoubtedly generate a lot of new content for fans who enjoy creating epic battles and unique strategies on the Dragon Ball Sparking Zero battlefield.

Even before the paid content is released, the game will undergo a general update today, April 22nd . According to Bandai Namco, this update brings improvements to game modes, character balancing, adjustments to skills and battle systems, as well as changes to general functionalities.

Version 2011.010.003.007.006 is coming to PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. This is good news for those who were waiting for adjustments to specific characters or wanted improved fluidity in the fights. After all, a game like Dragon Ball Sparking Zero needs to be constantly sharp to maintain a high level of combat.

No new missions, but plenty of action

It's worth remembering: this first part of the Daima DLC doesn't bring any narrative content. No new story, cutscenes, or extra arcs for now. The focus here is on increasing diversity on the battlefield and, let's face it, with eight new characters, there's already plenty to explore. Thus, it shows that Dragon Ball Sparking Zero is moving in a direction that prioritizes pure combat, focusing on tactical variations and mastering transformations, something that has always been a trademark of the franchise.

Rumors of collaborations continue to be strong

With the success of the Daima series, rumors about partnerships outside the Dragon Ball universe began to surface. One of the most talked-about topics on social media is a possible collaboration with Fortnite. This move wouldn't be absurd, considering the history of partnerships the two games have had in the past. Furthermore, another piece of good news is that Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot will also be joining the Daima wave with planned DLCs. The Dragon Ball universe is more alive than ever, and Dragon Ball Sparking Zero is right at the center of this whirlwind.

Even with some fans asking for more story content, the reception to the new DLC has been positive. The presence of characters with Super Saiyan variations is already fueling a lot of online discussion. Which transformation is stronger? Will Mini SSJ3 Vegeta surpass Mini SSJ Goku? Does Panzy have some secret ability that could turn the tide?

One thing is for sure: this new wave of content will shake up the battlefields and bring new possibilities for intense and unpredictable fights.
