Fortnite receives new powers and heroes in the new season

Epic Games has just launched the newest season of Fortnite , Chapter 6: Season 3, and it comes with a comic book-worthy theme. Dubbed "Super ," the season transforms the battlefield into a true training ground for superheroes , bringing special abilities, new enemies, brand-new locations, and a completely revamped progression system: Hero Rank .

The goal is clear: to give players the feeling of evolving as heroes within the game, complete with powers, epic battles, and differentiated rewards as they progress.

Hero Rank: Evolve into a true hero

The main highlight of the season is the Hero Rank system, which replaces the traditional level-based progression system . During matches, players earn Heroism Points by performing actions such as eliminating opponents, surviving the storm, and collecting Sprites scattered around the map. Each new rank achieved unlocks a Hero Cache, special chests with rewards ranging from rare weapons to "Boons," passive powers that modify your gameplay.
