The community is already wide-eyed: the highly anticipated version 6.0 of Genshin Impact arrives on September 9th. This date is within HoYoverse's traditional release schedule, with updates every six weeks. So far, there is no indication of a delay, which means that anticipation grows every day.
The new Nod-Krai region
The highlight of Genshin Impact version 6.0 is Nod-Krai. This new land brings a mysterious atmosphere, divided into three large islands: Paha Isle, Lempo Isle, and Hiisi Island . Each has its own unique characteristics, promising memorable settings and different mechanics.
Nod-Krai also introduces Nasha Town, a technological city that will have great relevance in the story. Locations such as the Lighthouse Cemetery and the Fatui organization's fortress increase the mystery and hint at deep conflicts and secrets that will be revealed in the main narrative.
New characters in the cast
The arrival of Genshin Impact version 6.0 includes three brand new characters. All are from Nod-Krai and are strongly connected to the region's history. They are:
- Lauma (5★ Dendro – Catalyst): She is called the Fey Priestess of the Frozen Moon. Her role is supportive, focusing on Dendro reactions, especially the new interaction called "Lunar-Bloom". Her presence promises to redefine strategies involving elemental mastery;
- Aino (4★ Hydro – Greatsword): A brilliant inventor who created robots and other gadgets on Nasha. In addition to being a Hydro support, she also deals damage outside the field and will play an important role in the new "Lunar Signs" mechanic. She will be free for everyone during the main event;
- Flins (5★ Electro – Spear): Guardian of the Nod-Krai graveyard, Flins is a powerful DPS who utilizes the "Manifested Flame" mechanic and the "Lunar-Charged" reaction. His presence on the field requires synchronization with allies, especially to control his damage spikes.
Limited banners and events
The distribution of banners for Genshin Impact version 6.0 follows the usual two-phase format. In the first phase, Lauma and Aino will be the highlights, with Aino being distributed for free. The second phase will feature Flins as the main character. Exclusive weapons will also be introduced, including Lauma's catalyst, Flins' spear, and the new 4-star sword called City Sword.
Two familiar characters will return: Yelan and Nahida. Both are valuable assets for teams focused on elemental reactions and now gain even more strength with the arrival of new interactions from the Nod-Krai region.
Unique weapons and forging system
Genshin Impact version 6.0 includes nine new weapons. Lauma and Flins' exclusive weapons are already highly anticipated by those seeking peak performance, but the highlight is also the set of forgeable weapons that includes a sword, greatsword, spear, bow, and catalyst, all inspired by the aesthetics and materials of Nod-Krai.
In addition, an exclusive event catalyst will be made available, increasing the possibilities for those who enjoy building characters creatively.
Two sets of brand-new artifacts are part of the content of Genshin Impact version 6.0. The first, Night of Celestial Revelation, focuses on increasing elemental mastery and amplifying new lunar reactions. The second, Silk Moon Serenade, is excellent for supports, bringing benefits such as accelerated energy regeneration and support for the group.
These sets are specifically designed to strengthen Nod-Krai characters, and promise to redefine farming goals in the coming months.
History and connection with the characters
The main mission will be "Song of the Celestial Moon." Although not all details are yet known, it is expected to thoroughly present the culture and conflicts of Nod-Krai, as well as introduce the roles of Lauma, Flins, and Aino within the larger story of Teyvat.
Furthermore, other side missions are also planned and should enrich the experience in this new region, as well as bring events with good rewards.
Unprecedented enemies and strategic challenges
Genshin Impact version 6.0 will introduce new enemies. Among the main ones are the Radiant Moonfly boss, whose exact role is still shrouded in mystery, and the Elemental Fatui Elites, enhanced versions of the organization's agents, focusing on Electro, Cryo, and Pyro.
These enemies will require strategic changes, mainly because many of them are adapted to the new lunar reactions, which are still largely unexplored in traditional compositions.
