The Conduit crystal in Subnautica 2 is among the rarest and most important resources in Unknown Worlds' underwater adventure. Found only in deep ocean areas, this material appears in small quantities and in very specific locations on the map.

Even though it's difficult to locate, it holds great value in the game's progression, especially in upgradingadvanced equipment and unlocking fundamental technologies during the campaign. Throughout the exploration, many players spend hours searching for this resource without success, particularly on their first trips below 300 meters.

Fortunately, there are more reliable regions for collection and ways to make this search much easier. See below!

What is the purpose of the Conduit Crystal in Subnautica 2?

In Subnautica 2, the Conduit crystal serves as the raw material for various upgraded equipment. Without it, some important upgrades simply won't be available at the Modification Station and Fabricator.

Among the most valuable items made with this material, the Bioscanner stands out. This tool unlocks deeper analyses of Axum technologies and Protean life forms scattered throughout the ocean. Based on these analyses, the player unlocks special biomods capable of releasing passive bonuses and extra abilities during survival.

In addition to the Bioscanner, the resource is also used in the manufacture of more powerful batteries, advanced energy cells, and improved mobility equipment. This means that finding a few units of the material can completely change your experience in dangerous areas of the map.

Check out the main uses of the feature:

During the NoA missions, there's an abandoned camp located southeast of the Alien Ruins. There, you'll find a broken Bioscanner, unlocking the possibility of developing a functional version at the Modification Station. After that, simply gather the necessary materials, including three units of the Conduit crystal from Subnautica 2, to finally craft the tool.

How do you get the Conduit Crystal in Subnautica 2?

Finding the resource is not usually easy in the first few hours of gameplay. The game places the crystals only in deep regions, typically below 300 meters.

Therefore, before setting out to find the item, it's best to upgrade the Girino with the first depth module. Without this upgrade, the submarine cannot withstand deeper descents and ends up suffering damage quickly.

With the module installed, exploration becomes much safer. There are two known locations that greatly facilitate the collection of the Conduit crystal in Subnautica 2.

Small Alien Ruin

This is one of the most accessible locations to begin collecting. First, go to the Alien Ruins unlocked after investigating the Tadpole Tanks. After that, head approximately 350 meters southeast.

Upon arriving in the area, observe your surroundings carefully. Near a large, bright blue pillar, several units of the resource are scattered across the ocean floor. The blue illumination makes it much easier to identify the correct location, even in dark areas.

Although the quantity isn't huge, the location usually provides enough crystals for the first major upgrades in the campaign. Aggressive creatures may appear during deep exploration. Therefore, bring medical kits, spare batteries, and constantly monitor your oxygen level while gathering.

Large Crater

After visiting the Little Alien Ruin, continue heading northeast. Soon you will find a huge underwater crater. This area houses anAngel Comb. Nearby are also glowing blue pillars surrounded by units of the resource.

Many players consider this region one of the best for obtaining the Conduit crystal in Subnautica 2, especially after unlocking more durable exploration equipment.

Because the environment is at a great depth, visibility is significantly reduced at times. Flashlights and vehicle upgrades are very helpful during navigation.

The blue pillars reappear with Conduit Crystals

There is a very useful piece of information that many players only discover after many hours of gameplay: the blue pillars function as resource regeneration points.

This means that the crystals reappear after a certain amount of time. Instead of searching for new areas across the entire map, you can return to the same locations in the future and collect more units. This feature greatly facilitates the crafting of advanced upgrades in the middle and end of the campaign. Whenever you need more materials, simply repeat the route to the familiar pillars.

Finally, whenever you find a Conduit Crystal, it's worth keeping in your inventory. Sooner or later, it will be essential for unlocking valuable upgrades and progressing more safely through the depths of Subnautica 2
